Alan Stockard, D.O., F.A.O.A.S.M., in an associate professor of family medicine at the University of North Texas Health Science Center and the division chief of primary care sports medicine. He is medical director of sports medicine at Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation of Texas (SMART Institute) and program director for the Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship. He holds board certification in both family practice and sports medicine. Dr. Stockard serves as a team physician to the U.S.A. Judo Team and is currently chairman of the U.S.A. Judo Sports Medicine Subcommittee. He also volunteers his time, serving as team physician for a number of area high schools, as well as medical director for the Cowtown Marathon. Dr. Stockard is a former drug-testing crew chief for the U.S. Olympic Committee and currently performs drug testing for the International Amateur Athletic Federation, FINA (world governing body for swimming), and the United States Anti-Doping Agency. |
