Erik Rosegard, Ph.D., is an experienced academic and practitioner in the areas of recreation, leisure and health/fitness. For over ten years, he has presented on topics within these areas at the local, state, national levels.

An assistant professor in the Department of Recreation and Leisure at San Francisco State University, Dr. Rosegard is a frequent consultant to individuals, public agencies, and private corporations. He currently serves as President of the California Society for Parks & Recreation Educators and has been nominated to serve as Vice-President for the Recreation Section of the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance. Dr. Rosegard also holds membership with the World Leisure & Recreation Association and the American College of Sports Medicine.

Prior to his graduate work, Dr. Rosegard was a successful Personal Fitness Instructor at the prestigious Sports Club L.A. where he serviced a large client base, including a number of movie and television personalities, and assisted in the development of unique recreational programming for the club. He has held certification as an Emergency Medical Technician, an American Red Cross Instructor, and as an ACSM Exercise Test Technologist.

A former NCAA decathlete, Dr. Rosegard is a regular participant in triathlons, marathons, adventure races, and other sports activities.
