Fitness
Assessment & Consultation
Motus-Fitness
offers two basic assessments to appropriately determine your health
status, conditioning needs and program success. Each assessment
consists of three sessions: an interview-orientation session, a
testing session and a follow-up session to discuss test results
and determine a course of action to meet your goals.
For the elite
athlete, research grade and physician supervised exercise testing

A test
protocol is selected based on personal/group goals, activity,
training experience and age to determine conditioning needs
and provide a baseline to determine program success. Areas
commonly tested included max strength in select lifts, speed
& agility, Max VO2 and body control, along with activity
specific anthropometric measures.

Important Note:
Those who are currently under the care of a physician, have recently
been under the care of physician, or have experienced any significant
medical problems should disclose this information during your orientation
session. Medical clearance from your physician may necessary prior
to any physical testing.
If you have
not undergone a physical examination, it is recommended that you
do so before beginning an exercise program. These assessments are
not performed by a physician and do not qualify as a physical examine.

Personal Fitness
Motus-Fitness
offers personal fitness sessions to clients who want individual
guidance in fine-tuning an existing program or are just getting
started. Basic components include a review your goals, fitness tests
(separate fee), development of an appropriately progressed fitness
plan, and one-on-one assistance to ensure proper training form and
implementation.
For those looking
to enhance their training and conditioning routine we offer the
NMIT-Program. The NMIT-Program
consists of specialized exercises based on the Pilates and Gyrotonics®
conditioning systems and equipment. The Program offers a physically
and mentally changing work-out that improves agility, range of motion,
core strength, and movement efficiency - essential to the perfection
and expansion of athletic and dance skills.
A minimum of twelve (12) one-on-one training sessions is required
before unsupervised use of the equipment is allowed. Group training
is also available (see below).

and are rotated throughout the year. Clients can select a program
for seasonal training, or as a training alternative to develop new
movement skills

The NMIT-Program
consists of specialized exercises based on the Pilates and

NMIT-Group consists of full body exercises that utilize the
person's own weight and selected apparatuses (such as foam
rollers, physioballs, and resistance cords) provide a challenging,
yet energizing workout. Three basic classes levels are available,
offered in three-month intervals three days per week.

Athletic
Performance Camps |
| |
Offered
mid-winter and mid-summer, these camps are ideal for the serious
club and high school athlete. Each Athletic Performance Camp
is designed as a pre/off-season program to develop a solid
fitness base and common skills for spring/summer and fall/winter
sports.
Athletic
Performance Camps incorporate speed & agility work, plyometric
training, and sports-drills along with exercises for flexibility,
strength, and cardiovascular endurance. Workshop-lectures
in sports nutrition, sports psychology, and personal injury
care round out the activities. Functional testing is conducted
at the beginning and end of each Camp to access the athlete's
progress.
Each camp
lasts six weeks with training sessions four days a week. Activities
are lead by experienced conditioning coaches and are conducted
both in and outdoors. A Licensed/Certified Athletic Trainer
is available to assist with any injuries.
