Arica Essner, O.T.R., is a nationally registered Occupational Therapist receiving her undergraduate degree in Occupational Therapy with honors from Eastern Michigan University. As a senior occupational therapist at North Coast Health Care Centers in Santa Rosa, California, Ms. Essner works with patients of various medical diagnoses in the inpatient and outpatient settings. Specializing in the care of patients with neurological deficits, Ms. Essner has developed distinct aquatic therapy programs for this population as well as utilizing neurodevelopmental treatment techniques (NDT). She has also been instrumental in the development and implementation of an outpatient pediatric program. Ms. Essner's management experience includes the development of an occupational therapy aid criterium and supervision of level I and II occupational therapy interns. Recently, Ms. Essner has also begun a community-based program to provide exercise services to help former patients maintain their level of independence.
