Company
History
Founded in 1997, Motus Center
began as a dance medicine provider to address the unique healthcare
needs of dancers in the Greater Fort Worth Area. The company quickly
attracted such organizations as:

Within the year,
Motus Center broadened its quality services to include sports medicine
and personal fitness training. As the official sports medicine provider
for the Fort Worth Rugby Football Club (Men's National Champions
2000) from 1997-2002, Motus Center rapidly grew recognition within
Texas and USA Rugby as a model provider for club competitions and
championship tournaments. The company client list has since expanded
to include:

Incorporated
in 2001, Motus Center (Motus Center, Inc.) continues to refine and
expand its programs in sports and dance medicine (Performance Medicine).
To further service our clientele, Motus Center has developed a comprehensive
Performance Enhancement Program for athletes and dancers integrating
and coordinating conditioning, sports nutrition, sports psychology,
and specialty training programs to achieve optimal performance on
the field and on the stage. Individuals who seek both recreational
enjoyment and athletic challenges will soon appreciate our spa services,
educational seminars, and adventure excursions.
In 2002, Motus
Center formalized relationships with University of North Texas Health
Science Center and the Osteopathic Health System of Texas to strengthen
and expand its programs.
As part of our
continual effort to better service you and centralize our programs,
Motus Center is developing a "Human Performance Institute"
with satellite locations around the Greater Fort Worth Area. More
information on these developments will be posted as available.

Motus Center
is organized into three separate yet integrated divisions that provide
a coordinated delivery of services. The Performance
Enhancement Division provides top quality fitness, wellness
and science programs to improve physical performance and support
an active lifestyle.
The Performance
Medicine Division assists athletes, dancers, performing
artists and other physically active individuals achieve their performance
goals through quick and easy access to quality, comprehensive athletic
healthcare services. These services include injury prevention, early
intervention and activity specific rehabilitation.
Motus Center's
third division is currently under development to support our clients'
active lifestyles through unique services and programs that encourage
life-long wellness. Services in development include a day spa geared
for active individuals, educational programming covering a range
of lifestyle topics and a host of recreational experiences from
weekend excursions to adventure travel.
Unique within
the commercial healthcare and fitness industries, Motus Center utilizes
the Licensed/Certified
Athletic Trainer to coordinate and provide many of our
services. Working in conjunction with Motus Center's other professionals,
our Licensed/Certified Athletic Trainers provide our clients the
highest level of care and service, regardless of activity and level
of participation.

The founder
of Motus Center, Mr. McCulloch posses a unique combination of education,
experience and credentials in the areas of dance medicine, sports
medicine, and fitness. He is the only dance medicine specialist
in the Greater Fort Worth Area, who posses both professional dance
experience (Fort Worth Dallas Ballet, Ballet West, California Ballet,
the Academie de Danse Classique Princess Grace in Monte-Carlo, and
Contemporary Dance Fort Worth) and academic training in dance medicine.
Over the past 10 years, Mr. McCulloch has provided rehabilitative
and conditioning services for dancers around the nation representing
many styles and levels of dance.
Mr. McCulloch
holds undergraduate degrees from the University of Utah in Dance
Medicine and Exercise & Sports Science, completing educational
tracks in fitness leadership and coaching methodology. From Texas
Christian University, he holds a Masters of Fine Arts in Dance,
completing additional graduate course work in Educational Administration
and Kinesiology. Mr. McCulloch is a nationally certified and Texas
licensed Athletic Trainer and holds certification as a Strength
& Conditioning Specialist from the National Strength & Conditioning
Association and as a Health/Fitness Instructor from the American
College of Sports Medicine. He has received additional training
in the Pilates-based exercise system for use in rehabilitation as
well as fitness programming.
In addition
to his position at Motus Center, Mr. McCulloch is an adjunct faculty
member for the Department of Ballet & Modern Dance at Texas
Christian University, teaching The Working Body and Dance Kinesiology.
He has also taught academic courses for Tarrant County College and
Texas Wesleyan University; where he served as the Head Athletic
Trainer for the Department of Interscholastic Athletics.
Andrew
T. Phan, M.D.
Medical Director

Dr. Phan is
an assistant professor of family medicine and associate director
of the Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship Program at the University
of North Texas Health Science Center. Board certified in family
medicine, Dr. Phan is also fellowship trained and board certified
in sports medicine.
In addition
to being the medical director for Motus Center, Inc., he is actively
involved as an associate medical director for the Fort Worth Cowtown
Marathon, a consulting physician for the Dallas Taekwondo Tournament.
Dr. Phan also volunteers his time acting as team physician for various
high schools in the Greater Fort Worth Area. Previously, Dr. Phan
served on the medical staff for the Cleveland Indians Baseball Club
and as team physician for the U.S. National Judo Team.
